A Quiz for Every Emotion

Considering the current events happening in our lives, and the fact that school is over and I have time to do whatever I want...which means nothing productive, I have decided to go snooping around for some fun. This is what I found. I hope you enjoy:

A Quest for Something of Importance

So, considering I couldn't think of anything to blog about, I decided to share some pictures that I think you will find amusing. . .

Well hello there hot things
This is at Danielle's wedding. You see these somewhat infamous dresses. Yes, this may be the only time you see me with my shoulders bare and no bra on in public (ps, this does not count in my living area). However, the black shawls and insert things on the neck line were my doing. I know, I am quite the seamstress...not. But it was fun anyway. And Danielle does so not look pregnant in that dress.
Still friends after all these years...or just one

Wow, I didn't think I had a picture with this many of my friends in it (unfortunatly we are missing Becca). I think we all look pretty proud of ourselves. We were in high school. Crazy.

Can you say snap shot?

Frankly I think this picture is too funny to not showcase. This is one of very few pictures of me that I can stand looking at when I'm not all gussied up and posing. My face is just so perplexed. I wonder what I was thinking. And what is Debbie looking at?

MAN ALIVE......literally

After many months, I have finally recieved a letter.
I am so overjoyed there are no words.
I think Miss Liberty says it all.
I may allow you to see this aformentioned letter,
as I will most likely be carying it with me when you ask.
It may be the best one yet.

dance dance dance

Are you itching to dance like this...

or maybe this...
or even this...
and how about like this...(okay I was totally joking about that one)

....if you answered "YES" to at least one of these, then maybe you should think of coming to a UVSC dance with me on Friday. I have been informed of this dance through a certain boy (who told me on Monday - to be sure that I could plan on going). I don't know if I could ever go alone, so that is why I am calling on my wonderful friends (that would be you) to come with me (your very desperate friend) for at least 10 minutes on Friday...probably around 9:30 or something. I'm sure you have already made plans without me, but a few minutes of your time is all I ask.

I miss you

So, for my new blog I decided I needed pictures because I have never had pictures on here before. However, I couldn't think of anything to "google" to find some super-cool random pictures. So, instead, I have taken a gander down memory lane to gather some super-cool random pictures of my family. I hope you enjoy, and I'm not that sorry if you don't, because my family is amazing and I love them, even when they're crazy, which is all the time.

If this doesn't look like a familiar place that is because it is on a boat - a huge one. Yes, this is almost 4 years ago on my families cruise to Alaska.
Here are the kids (minus TJ and plus Amber) looking at Kris's headshots (yes, he is an actor, and quite the good one too - he's in yellow). I am in the corner with the blue shirt if you didn't notice. Josh is looking quite laughable with his bleached hair. Definitely not one of his best looks.
Here is me and Connie eating in the eating place - we spent a lot of time here, a lot. I think that is Josh's elbow on the right. Obviously I am having a wonderful time.

Now we can skip to Christmas 2002.
I bet you can't guess which one I am. Kris and Josh are looking a little too happy this early in the morning. The grumpy people stay on the left. Wow, the kitchen looks so different now. Oh yeah, and you can see the amazing dresser my dad built on the right. It is the most amazing dresser I have ever seen, I can't believe my dad made it. He is just amazing.
This may be one of my favorite pictures. Simply because it is just so funny, and also so true to the boys in the family. It's Christmas morning and they are lounging on the bed playing the video games. Amber looks quite adorable scrunched up sleeping. She always sticks by her man. Oh yeah, and my dad built that headboard too.

This is Graduation last year. Not as much fun, but still a momentous occasion I suppose.

Here is me and my mom. I got two bouquets of flowers, both equally pretty. That cap is so no good. But my hair isn't looking too bad I must say. And of my mom looks wonderful because she is the only reason I have made it thus far, she did give birth to me after all. I think we have the same smile.

This is at Trevor's house last June.

Aaah, and here are some of my future in-laws stuffing their faces...i mean....

This picture speaks for itself.

Well, that is the end of my gander down memory lane. Good times.

Want to have fun on Saturday?

So, basically Allen text messaged me and told me he is having a big Halo party at his house on Saturday around 9:30. I was really excited, but then (and now) kind of scared of going alone because I'm sure it is going to be mostly boys (and all his friends). Anyway, if any body wants to come with me that would be amazing - and you would be able to see/meet him. If not that is still cool...I guess I will just have maybe go by myself.

Oh yes, and more good news - my dad may be able to help me pay tuition, which is just about the most amazing thing ever. So I can spend money now. Not go crazy of course, but not conserve like mad. Anyway, it may not exciting to any of you, but I am dang happy about this course of events.

And my blog is finally working, which deserves a major woohoo. So, WooHoo. Now get out of here.

woop-di-doodoo

I would just like you all to know that I talked to my father and I was given an okay on the moving out. He couldn't have really refused me, but getting the approval is definitely a plus. Now I just have to break the news to Portia - but that shouldn't be too bad I hope.

Well, fun stuff. I have had two nose bleeds (haha - wait, I don't think I have shared this story of my father's with you, but maybe so. Basically it has to do with saying "bloody nose" in Enland. anyway.) in the past two days - wierd, and very annoying. I can't figure out why it is happening. My theory is that it is raining. I got one yesterday and it rained today, I got one today and it is supposed to rain tomorrow. We shall see.

I just noticed I used the word "father" twice already. That is really weird.

w e i r d OR w i e r d ? I think the first one is right but I have used both spellings, just in case.

Oh yes, and still no sign of my scarf.

Woo Hoo

So, basically I am sick of the old post and I am quite excited (okay not really) at the moment because I just finished a paper before 10:30! I mean, I am going to be reading over it tomorrow morning and making adjustments. But the fact is that I wrote it and it is done and woohoo woohoo. My first big assignment of the semester is over.

Okay whoa, I think I was getting way to excited with my words. Although I don't think it was portrayed but there was so much of it going on in my head. Like, having another two or three "woohoo"'s in there and an emphasis on the "over". Anyway, I'm not that excited, but it is late and my eyes hurt and I have eaten way to much food and I am never going to lose weight. But I DO know what the four worldly philosophies are. I will tell you. They are Hedonism, Secularism, Individualism, and last but not least, well, maybe least, not, Materialism. Fun stu--

man alive I just got the inkling to watch some Friends episodes. It has been far too long. It must happen soon, perhaps tomorrow since I am going to be majorly slacking off due to the hard work I have exerted this week.

And I am pretty sure my scarf is lost forever in the black abyss that is edge of our galaxy - perhaps much like that episode I have on tape of the Simpsons where Homer is in 3-D. funny. hahahahah hahahahahaha. okay not that funny. I am laughing really really hard in my head - but not outloud, but in my head there is a wild Mexican party going on filled with craziness. This has gone too far - I am going to let it continue in my dreams and not on the post - which is scarying me more than I ever thought possible.

Cute Squeaky Squeaky, Now Please Die

So, other than school starting, there are much more pressing matters at hand. Like the fact that there is a mice collony living in my basement and yesterday around 10pm, one scurried over my feet while I was taking my clothes out of the dryer. Yes, I did jump and I did yelp. I'm not really scared of the little suckers, but I just don't like knowing they are in my house. But not to worry, my dad came over and we put "poison" throughout so they should be gone and dead soon. Anyway, it was quite the disturbing experience, but I'm glad it is somewhat taken care of.

On to better things, like marriage. Unfortunately (or not, in some cases), it is not me who is getting married. Danielle got married on Thursday. As many of you know (meaning all) I was one of her bridesmaids. Andrea Porter was her other one and she didn't have a maid of honor. The wedding was actually really nice. I am afraid I am too tired to go into detail. If you really want to know, just ask me. There really wasn't anything too exciting. Our dresses were halter-top style with a blueish-greenish color. I put in inserts to cover the clevage area and also made shawls for both of us. They turned out really cute actually. Her mom is like the coolest person ever. I have always liked her. Anyway, fun.

I am really tired and I really don't want to do this whole school thing. Mostly because I am afraid I'm not going to be organized enough and I will forget to do all of my homework and then I will fail. poo.

My secrets...now there is nothing else to know

Okay, so, I actually wrote these "secrets" on Wednesday, not that it matters, but just so you know. Be aware that yes, I am quite embarassed by quite a few of these, if not all.

Here they are:

1. When I was little I thought I was a cat. But you don’t understand – I actually acted like a cat. I made my parents put my meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in a bowl on the ground next to the table and I would lick it up. This is the real secret and by far the most embarrassing thing: my dad claims that I also squatted on the toilet like a cat – but mind you, it was only once. I tell you, I was a hard core kitty.

2. I am semi-related to a semi-famous actress. Okay, so it is really my first step mom, who I haven't seen in many many years, and she only makes appearances on a TV show – but it is a hit TV show. It’s called Everwood, have you heard of it? Anyway, she is Dr. Abbott’s secretary. Fun stuff.

3. Going along with 2, and also benounced to most people – I am, myself, an actress of sorts. When I was about 4 or 5 I was in a video with my family (which then consisted of my dad, step mom Jan, Austin – my younger step brother, and myself). It is quite a popular flick. Well, only in the church. It is a Family First video and I am only in a segment of it, but I play quite the important role. I actually own it if any of you are interested in seeing my stardom.

4. Now this one I am quite proud of (and also shows how much you all are missing by being so far away). I haven’t bought gas for two months as of December 7. That’s right; believe it, because it’s true. And since I'm talking about my car, my driver side door is beginning to not want to open, so I end up having to walk around to the other side of my car and open it from there. It isn’t much, but it is a secret, and quite odd actually.

5. Now, I must talk about boys - well, one boy. I am starting to really like this guy in my English class. His name is Allen (which really doesn’t fit him, but oh well) and he is really cool. Anyway, I probably won't see him after this semester, but I just thought you should all know. It is probably for the best since I am, in fact, planning on "waiting" for a missionary (which is a secret in itself) - I bet you can't guess who it is. haha

So, there you have it - my secrets. I hope you are all still proud to be my friend, and if not, I still like you...just not as much...just kidding.

Since there is really no one else I know that hasn't be "tagged" I guess this is it. Fun stuff. (but really a fist shaking at Debbie).

$80 on clothes in 2 weeks...wow

Well, this is really just a post so that I can say I have a new one, but I will try and think of something interesting to say.

Um....so my dad got me balloons for my birthday exactly one week ago, and guess what - five of the seven are still afloat. I am quite impressed.

I wrote the Elder today. I really wish he would just come home already.

I also made salmon today, along with really good wild rice and some creamed corn. It was quite the decadent meal and I very much enjoyed it.

I just found a lone Cherrio on the floor which I have been looking for for the past 15 minutes. And no, I did not eat it - that would be yucky.

Basically I am so excited for Thanksgiving because it is just fun and eating turkey and making pies is also enjoyable. Blast! I really wanted to go see New York Doll on Saturday - I can't believe I forgot. Perhaps I will go next week sometime, but I must see it. If anyone else is interested, let me know.

You know, I found out a few days ago that there is only supposed to be one space after a period - I always put two. I thought there was an option and you could choose. But apparently two is from the typewriter days and since we no longer use it, only one space is required. I will show you the difference now. This is with two spaces. This is with one. Anyway, I bet you all knew that. I personally like two, and I'm afraid it is too late in my life to convert to the one space, so I am sticking with two, despite the many protests that are sure to follow.

Anyway, that is all. I really want a boyfriend, or at least just a boy that is my friend. Boyfriend sounds weird. If I ever get one, can I call him "my boy"? haha, that is funny, I'm glad I thought of that one. Okay, that really is all of my cleverness for the night.

finding better days

wow, that was quite a profound and dramatic title for a completely opposite post. It is really just in respondance to that GooGoo Dolls song - you know, "you'll find...better days", which was just on. Anyway,

I just thought you all should know that I just drank milk straight out of the carton for the very first time in my life. Oh the luxuries of living alone and of knowing that no one is ever going to drink the same milk as you.

Anyway, I am off to pick up my dear mother from the airport...in the rain, which could be scary, but that is okay - it will be worth it.

I like you guys a lot and I'm glad I have friends. And even though I am a slacker at hanging out, we are always hanging out - in a little corner in my mind....or something about me being tired and having a lot to do so instead I am writing this.

PARTY party party

Hey guys,
So, I was going to do this yesterday but I didn't have time. Basically I am just reminding you of what you are planning to bring to the shindig on Saturday.

Debbie - Cookies
Nikki - Salsa (and don't worry about the milk, I have to buy some for this breakfast thing and if all else fails, the Creamery is like 2 blocks away)
Micquel - Chips (tortilla and potato)
Trisha - Drinks
Rosemary - Candy and movie
Teri - whatever you can think of but I think Ice Cream would be the best thing

Well, that was fun. Oh yeah, and I am providing pizza. I guess I should go discuss that:
So, I'm not quite sure when to order the pizza - probably like 6 or something. And this was the input I was given for the toppings: cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian, and then maybe half no pepperoni and half bacon and mushroom? That's like four pizzas...I can get a pepperoni for free and then I can get a buy one get one free - and then I guess I will have to buy one more pizza. If it's not a big problem, do you think we could possibly split some of the cost? Let me know if there are any problems with that or with the toppings - and where do you all want to get it from?

Okay, and I am also providing some sort of cake or brownie or something (basically whatever I feel like making Saturday afternoon while I get cable installed). Um, I don't think I have forgotten anything. I haven't called Jake or Kylen but it would be cool if they could come - and maybe even Paul but I don't know his number. I invited Andy and I guess bring whoever you please. I will probably call some of you later tonight.

Anyway, you're all really cool, and sorry for making this seem like some big ordeal - because it really isn't and I definitely don't expect it to be, I just have so much to do all of a sudden and I don't know how I am ever going to get it done. But anyway, call me if you have any questions or anything. My number is 801-815-3595 (sorry for the long distance - I keep forgetting to get it changed),

party party party

[Just so you all know, I sent an email to those of you who I have email addresses of, just to make sure you saw this]

So hey guys,

I guess I am just announcing that we are, in fact, having a Halloween/birthday party (for Trisha and Debbie, and me if it is wanted) on Saturday the 29. It is going to be at my house and there will be food and fun and scary stuff. You can invite whoever who want to (aka, girls who know boys – and of course anyone who I may have forgotten or just not had their email) and yeah, please give me any input you have on this subject of partyness because I don't know what I am doing.

So, for the food. We can basically have anything - pizza, I could make something, we could all make something together, I don't know - tell me what you guys want. There will be cake for the birthday part. Does someone else want to take care of that? I don't care what kind or if we even want cake - maybe we just want cookies, or cupcakes, or pie, or ice cream, or something like that - also let me know your opinions.

Also, the time. I don't think it matters what time, but I am thinking around like 6 or 7ish. Do any of you have work that is going to conflict with this? Should it be later, earlier? I actually just realized that I am having a breakfast thing at my house that morning for work - it's a long story that involves supposedly really good pancakes, and somehow it was delegated to my house. That is just going to weird having people I work with at my house, especially because it is not very presentable and smells like old people and it just seems odd. Anyway, so that should be fun...or something.

And, what do you want to do for the party? We could play like card games or something - I don't know whatever you guys want to do. We could watch a movie - I will have to do some rearranging and put a couch in the room with the TV, but it is definitely possible. We could watch a scary movie or something. Anyway, I have no idea what we are going to do so I think that someone (meaning all of you) needs to give some ideas of what to do. Do you want to go trick-or-treating around my neighborhood? Because we could, it might be weird, but it could happen.

What about decoration? Do you guys care if my house is decorated? I mean, there are already authentic spider webs all over so that is covered. If you really want decorations I'm afraid you will have to provide them yourself because I have nothing and I am not going to go out and buy scary decorations - my house is creepy enough as it is.

Oh yeah, and costumes are a must!!! I don't care what you look like as long as it doesn't look like your everyday self, but you aren't getting otherwise!...So be warned.

Sorry this is so long, but the date is fast approaching and I don't think anyone really knows if this is going to happen so I am here to tell you that it is. And I hate to sound demanding, but I really do need you (all of you) to comment on this or at least talk to me about it. It is necessary to your invitation (which I guess this post is, but it is necessary for your pass to walk through the door). If you want you can email me, but some sort of communication needs to happen.

Okay, I hope to hear from you soon,

(and if you have any awesome costume ideas you think I could pull off, please tell me - a thought just popped up of Marilyn Monroe, I mean, I've the "equipment" for it and I'm sure I could find a modest, yet amazing dress at the DI.....and I think you all should know that calling my boobs "equipment" was just about the weirdest thing ever - and sorry for the somewhat upfront language just now, that was weird too)

Well Hello there World

Hey guys, sorry for the slackingness. So, this Saturday, or rather, tomorrow, there will be a "get together" type thing at my house. I don't know what time, maybe like 2 or 3 or something. I have to go to a film for my film class until 12 and then I have to clean up a bit - unless you don't mind the scattered mess that is my house. No, I must clean at least a little, sorry. So yeah, um, I guess calling could happen, but preferably not so just call when you want to come over and post or else just come over after 2 or whenever you want to - chances are I will be home. Unless of course I say hi to this guy from my film lab for the first time and something amazing happens. I mean, um, yeah, nevermind.

So, my house sometime tomorrow and when all have arrived we can hang or get pizza and get a movie (aka Mean Girls) and make cookies. It will be loads of fun - we could even stop by the Creamery and pick up some stuff if it is needed. I went there for the first time yesterday, and I must say, it was kind of weird but also fun because everyone there is a student so it's not weird that I stare at food for long periods of time before deciding what I want. You know how indecisive I am and when I am alone it just gets worse.

Work is quite exciting and everyone I work with is just entertaining and hilarious. Debbie, you would be quite disturbed because there is this guy named Nephi, who by the way is like the coolest guy ever, and he hates shoes. He wears sandels all the time (well, until about an hour goes by and my boss comes out and comments about it and then Nephi puts other shoes on - there is a "no sandle" rule at work). Anyway, he is still amazingly cool and has the perfect guy hair. You know how I like guys hair to be long-ish but not too long and kind of shaggy - anyway, I'm pretty sure you all know. I was thinking about it and I don't think I have liked a guys who had this haircut or looked good in it. I know Trevor definitely does not look good with it - which makes me sad but I will learn to live with the shortness...anyway.

Well, there you have it. Still single and not loving it one bit; but that's just how it goes, isn't it. Everything else is going good and that is all for now.

sorry sorry

Okay, so I really do want to write a new blog because I have a lot to say and a lot to tell. It's just that I have so much homework that I'm afraid I will have to finish that before I can write more. Hopefully that will be soon, like within the next two hours before I have to go to work at the blasted Stan's Drive Inn.

Money is good, work not so much

So, this is a very bright green which I am using to attract your attention. I will now get on with the attention-grabbing....talk. So, my dad has convinced my family to let me move into my Grandparents house, which is vacant because they are living in a "retirement" home type place. Anyway, no one is living there and they need someone to keep up the house (as it is quite large and very nice-although not huge but I like it). That someone is now me . This means that I will sadly be moving farther away into the tree streets. However, I have been asked to try and find another person or two who would like to move in with me so as to not seem that I am milking the fam for a cheap place to live and also to keep me company. I hate to make this sound like some sort of add because there should not be any pressure-it is just fine if you all say no because I like you all too much. Rent would be like $150-$200 and it is like right across the street from BYU (by the creamery on 9th) and also across the street from that elementary school and big park that starts with a K. It is close to many students so that is very nice. Anyway, there is the offer-take it or leave it. Either way, I am really going to try harder to see you guys more often because I love hanging out with you guys as you are my amazing friends. So count on that for sure.
I hope all of your lives are going well and that you are excited to start school. Which reminds me, Becca - when are you leaving? I must see you before you go. We should even have a big get to gether or something...although it seems to me that you all have been getting together a lot lately without letting me in on it so maybe you are against it.

Howie Day's autograph is quite amazing on my envelope

Howie Day is amazing I must say and the concert last night was just about the best one I have been too. It was really fun and he is so awesome and Deb and I got to meet him because we bought shirts and he signed my envelope and said a few words and he is funny...anyway, there are just no words to describe it or make it sound how it really was, so just know that it was amazing and I love it (and him). This blog is going to be short because all I have to say is that today at work Josh (who works at Stan's but not today and I have only worked with him once...he is quite the slacker and really weird, but still pretty cool) came into today at around 9 30 or 10 (probably closer to 10) and Leidy (that's right, like "Lady"-she is 17 and going to be a senior, but she is really cool) and I were talking to him and I went in the back to do something and when I walked back up to the counter I took a drink of water and when I sat the cup down Leidy and Josh were looking at me really weird(ly?) and I was like "what?" and they just stared and Leidy finally said "that's his water" and Josh said "yeah, I'm confused. That is my water". I was like "what? Are you serious???" and they both said yes. I honestly didn't think anything when I took a drink, I just took one because I had been doing so out of a green mug for quite a while - which is even more weird that I did it because Josh had water in a paper cup with a lid on it. Anyway, I was quite embarrassed and we laughed about it and I felt kind of bad and I told him he could get a new straw, but I think that he did not, which is just fine with me. But anyway, that is my odd story for the day and I have had way too much ice cream (somehow we wound up with a mint shake, a messed up butter pecan cone, and a fish burger...which for some reason was forced upon me and I am sad to say that I ate most of it (except part of the burger that was soggy and half of the mint shake which was melted)) . You all are cool and I am afraid I will not be able to see you very often because I have work like every day this week and mostly at night and on top of that I am exhausted every day because of work and school so when I get home I just go to bed...which is just sad. But I do miss you guys and I am sorry that I am too busy/tired to do stuff. I will work on it. (and I am sorry for the longness and also for all of the parentheses)

Wednesday, July 27, 2005

wait...which one is a fancy shake? and what's so fancy about it anyway?

So, I am using this poo color because it is just funny. So, I had my first day at work today. I must admit that I was scared for my life but when I got there it actually wasn't so bad. I happened to get there in the middle of lunch hour so it was crazy and they were trying to teach me everything while taking care of customers but thankfully they didn't make me do anything seriously important until the crowd died down. But the first thing I made was a shake and let me just say that the little machine you put it in to mix it is the scariest thing - I most definitely got shake all over the place, but then it was fixed and I didn't make a shake for a while, but the next time I did, it turned out good. I realized that I am good under pressure (which I already knew) and the register didn't scare me so much and everything just ran smoothly if you did it right. Oddly enough, I think I am going to like this "worst job ever" because you are always doing something and hate to just do nothing. And it will be a good chance for me to read or do homework when there really isn't anything to do. But standing up for five hours has made me completely exhausted and I really need to be writing my American Heritage paper but I am slacking like usual.
But if any of you ever get the chance you should come by Stan's and get a shake or some other equally tasty food item. Next week I may be working in the evening (from five to eleven) but this week I am working Friday (and maybe Saturday) from 11 to 5. Anyway, I have way to many things on my mind which are just no good...ie Trevor left to the MTC today and I couldn't go see him because I was working which is just silly because seeing a missionary off is usually just for parents but still...I am going to write him tomorrow (is that a little too crazy?)...I really need to stop this madness but it is never going to happen...and I still stand strong on the issue (which really only I know about).
So, you all are really cool and I haven't seen much of you in quite a while which is no good, but this blog business is good because then I at least get to talk to you. (you=everyone)
