Sometimes I get pretty adventurous and want to make bread. I have failed several times before, but this time, I made a successful cinnamon swirl bread. I was very proud of myself. |
It only took a couple days for them all to bloom. So pretty :) |

Jantz has been getting some really cool screenprinting jobs lately. It's been fun watching him do design work and print shirts :) I try to help but I think I mostly just get in the way. He's always got a groove going you know? haha. I have a link to his facebook page, Kronis Apparel, to the left of the page in case any of you are in need of some designs and/or shirts printed. Shameless plug I know haha. Anyway, here are some of the designs and shirts that he has done that I really liked:

We got a special "surprise" visit from my parents a couple of weekends ago. They had just bought a motor home and wanted to go on a trip. Lucky for me, I am the closest kid who lives in another state - so they called a few days ahead and came to see us! It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad they came out. It was pretty cloudy the whole time they were here, which is a bummer because it's usually so sunny all the time! It was great being able to show them where we live. They got in Friday evening and we took them to our favorite Mexican restaurant out here (seriously though, it is amazing). Then Saturday we took them to the Denver Zoo. I'd never been so it was extra exciting :) Then we took them to a cookout at Jantz's parents house. They stayed at a reservoir close to our apartment and we stayed with them Saturday night. My mom made a delicious breakfast in the morning - with fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, and french toast (because that's how my family rolls while camping haha). We had hoagies for lunch and then delicious tin foil dinners for dinner. We played lots of cornhole and catch. Then on Sunday my dad rented a fishing boat and we went out the lake, just to ride around. It was actually really fun. We drove around the whole lake and took turns driving. We tried to hit other boat's waves, which only worked a few times haha. We ate lunch out there and then went back to camp for dinner. Then we had to go home to get some sleep for an early Monday :( It was sad saying goodbye. I hope they had as much fun as we did - we really enjoyed having them out here! Hopefully there are many more visits :)

Maybe I'm just a really proud wife, but I think that the drawings Jantz has made in his art class are just incredibly good. Here are a couple more he has done:

A couple weeks ago we spent Saturday helping out the family. Jade and John bought a house so we were over there helping to clean, put in doorknobs, and put up blinds. Plus they gave us donuts for breakfast, so of course I was happy haha. Then we headed over to Jantz's parents to help them move wood panels from outside up through the window on the second floor. I was at the bottom lifting the wood to Jantz, who lifted it through the window to his dad. We had quite the process going.
Then, finally, we got to go eat :) my favorite part of the day. We had heard this place called Champa St. had good burgers, but we had never been. So finally we went! And let me tell you, coming from a girl who grew up in a burger/fry/onion ring college town, a good burger has really been missing from my life. And it was soo good! Best onion rings I've had in a really long time. And the burger was exactly what I have been missing. Believe you me, we will definitely be going back (if I could convince Jantz, and if it wouldn't totally clog my arteries, I would totally go there every week haha). Now if only they had fry sauce and I didn't have to make my own...
Jantz's dad, Jade and John came with us, which only made it better :) |
